29th Annual Walk for Hospice

The 29th Annual Walk for Hospice took place Sunday, August 10. It was a beautiful day for the event, with sunny skies and temperatures in the high 70s to low 80s.  This year's Walk began at Center for Hospice Care's Mishawaka Campus and took place along the beautiful Mishawaka Riverwalk. The Riverwalk, officially named the "River St. Joseph of the Miamis Trail" is a beautifully landscaped, handicap-accessible pathway on both banks of the river with pedestrian footbridges connecting city parks.

Hosting the event from our new location allowed walkers to enjoy the soon to be renovated Central Park along with the great areas from last year. The Celebration of Remembrance was moved to Battell Park's Bandshell, where band 3rd Session played, a clown was on-hand to create balloon sculptures for the children, group photos were available and ice cream was provided for the walkers. Photos from this year's event will be available soon. Please check back here or visit our Facebook page for updates.
